لو كنت أمريكياً يحق لي التصويت في إنتخابات الرئيس الأمريكي لإخترت أن أمنح صوتي للرئيس دونالد ترامب . . في عام 2016 كتبت مقالاً قبل الإنتخابات الرئاسية توقعت فيه فوز ترامب على هيلاري كلينتون رغم أن كل إستطلاعات الرأي رجحت فوز هيلاري . . أما في إنتخابات هذا العام 2020 فأعترف بعجزي عن التنبؤ بالنتيجة رغم أن إستطلاعات الرأي حتي اللحظة ترجح فوز بايدن . . لكن لماذا أمنح صوتي للرئيس دونالد ترامب ؟
لاشك أن ترامب وضع بصمته كرجل أعمال في قيادة إقتصاد الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، لكنه بلاشك غير محظوظ بعد إجتياح فيروس كورونا كل دول العالم ، وكان تأثيره قوياً جداً على الشعب الأمريكي حتى أن أمريكا تصدرت – ومازالت -كل دول العالم في عدد الإصابات ، وفي عدد الوفيات ؛ وبالتالي تأثر الإقتصاد الإمريكي ، وذهبت هباءاً كل إنجازات ترامب التي حققها في أول ثلاث سنوات لحكمه . . لن ينسى التاريخ أن النمو في الإقتصاد الأمريكي خلال هذه السنوات الثلاث بلغ 2.5 % ، بينما كان الرئيس باراك أوباما يتفاخر بالنمو الإقتصادي الذي حدث في عهده بنسبة 2.3 % فقط ، لكن ما أن بدأت كورونا تجتاح أمريكا حتى تراجع الإقتصاد الأمريكي 5 % خلال الربع الأول من عام 2020 ، ثم تعمقت الخسائر في الربع الثاني من عام 2020 حيث تراجع الإقتصاد الأمريكي بنسبة 31.4 % , وبعد أن كان سوق العمل الأمريكي هو الأفضل في تاريخ أمريكا خلال السنوات الثلاث الأولي من حكم ترامب ، تحول إلى الأسوأ في تاريخها بسبب جائحة كورونا ، فبينما كان معدل البطالة حتى فبراير 2020 أقل من 3.5 % بعد أن خير الشركات الكبرى بين نقل مصانعها من الدول الآسيوية إلى أمريكا أو فرض ضرائب باهظة على منتجاتها كالسيارات مثلاً مما يرفع أسعارها بصورة كبيرة وبالتالي تنخفض المبيعات مقارنة بنفس المنتجات المنافسة من دول أخري ، وكان هدفه من ذلك توفير آلاف الوظائف الجديدة للأمريكيين وخفض معدل البطالة ، وبالفعل نجح في ذلك إلى أبعد حدٍ .
إلا أن المعدل إرتفع بصورة كبيرة إلى أكثر من 14.7 % في أبريل 2020 ، بعد أن فقد 20 مليون أمريكي وظائفهم ، وقد حاول ترامب مواجهة هذه الآثار المدمرة فإتخذ مجموعة من الإجراءات ، ونجح في خفض نسبة البطالة من 14.7 % إلى 7.9 % في سبتمبر 2020 . . كما يجب الإشارة إلى أن معدل البطالة للأمريكيين من أصول أفريقية في عهد ترامب كان 5.4 % حتي شهر سبتمبر عام 2019 بينما كان نفس المعدل في عهد أوباما 7.5 % – 16 % رغم أن أوباما من أصول أفريقية .
وإذا كان بايدن قد ركَّز في حملته علي فشل ترامب في مواجهة جائحة كورونا ، فإني أعتبر ذلك من باب التمحك في الوباء حيث أنه لا يجد سبباً منطقياً جدياً لمهاجمته أو لإنتقاده . . فالرئيس ترامب ليس مسئولاً عن الجائحة ، ولكم أن تنظروا إلى عدد الاصابات والوفيات في أوروبا خلال الموجة الأولى والثانية ؛ فهل كانت سياسة ترامب هى السبب في تفشي الوباء في أوروبا ؟ وهل نجحت أوروبا في مقاومة الجائحة بينما فشل ترامب ؟! إنه نوع من العبث يمارسه بايدن الضعيف . . تماماً مثلما وصف ترامب بالضعيف الذي يخشى الرئيس الروسي بوتين !!
بعد إنتهاء جائحة كورونا – وستنتهي عاجلاً أو آجلاً كما إنتهت من قبلها كل الأوبئة التي إجتاحت العالم – فإن المواطن الأمريكي سوف يكون في أشد الحاجة لعقلية إقتصادية متميزة لإدارة الأزمات الإقتصادية الخطيرة جداً والتي حدثت في أمريكا ، وبالتأكيد فإن بايدن لا يملك هذه العقلية ، بينما ترامب هو الأفضل لهذه المهمة .
الديموقراطيون يتميزون بالدعاية لمرشحهم والترويج لفوزه قبل أسابيع وأيام من الإنتخابات ، لكن كما هزمهم ترامب عام 2016 , فسيهزمهم أيضاً هذا العام .
